Fabrics

1.Vacuum textiles regularly with an upholstery attachment to remove dust and dirt.

2.Place textiles out of direct sunlight to help prevent fading. Dark colors and cotton fabrics are particularly susceptible to sun.

3.Have upholstered items professionally cleaned annually.

4.Rotate, turn and fluff cushions periodically to promote uniform wear.

5.Maintain a consistent humidity in the space to prevent wood frames and joints from expanding and contracting excessively, which can cause upholstery to stretch and sag.

6.Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry white cloth. Always blot from the outer edges inward to reduce the chance of a stain ring.

7.Blot stains with clear, cool water. Avoid hot water, which can set a stain.

8.Take special care not to rub when cleaning spills and stains on Ultrasuede, as it can ruin the material’s soft nap.

9.If the stain is oil- or water-based, blot the area again with a clean white cloth, repeating as necessary.

10.Remove gum and wax by placing a small plastic bag of ice on it, waiting for the material to harden, and then gently chipping it away. Repeat as necessary and blot any residual stain with a clean, damp white cloth.

11.Brush pile fabrics lightly with a stiff bristle brush to remove minor stains and regain original appearance. Do not rub or use excessive force when brushing.

12.Check the cleaning code and follow the instructions detailed on the label, when washing the removable covings.

Leathers

1.Be sure not to use alcohol, detergent, oil, varnish or polishing agent to clean or maintain leather furniture, which will damage the leather and lead to serious consequences that cannot be repaired.

2.Periodically dust your sofa with a clean, dry, soft cloth. Because the dust can easily enter the pores of the leather and make leather losing elasticity. To protect and maintain leather, you may want to use a leather conditioner, always test on a hidden area first. 

3.For liquid stains, like soft drinks, coffee etc. Immediately soak up with an absorbent paper. Dip a clean cloth in a mild solution of water or neutral soap, wring it out so it’s damp not wet. Gently rub the stain from the outside inwards. Dry immediately with a clean cloth, better to open the window to air dry. Do not dry the leather in sunlight or by using a hairdryer. 

4.For grease stains, like butter, oil, ketchup, chocolate etc. Immediately soak up with an absorber paper. Taking care not to press, so as to avoid the substance becoming ingrained in the leather’s pores. Dip a clean cloth in a mild solution of water or neutral soap, wring it out so it’s damp not wet. Gently rub the stain from the outside inwards. Dry immediately with a clean cloth, better to open the window to air dry. Do not use water to wash grease stains. These spots will be absorbed into the leather over time.

5.Keep leather furniture out of direct sunlight, which will cause it to fade over time. Also keep leather away from heating vents or a fireplace, which can cause drying and cracking.

6.About Pull Up leather, most surface scratches will fade over time if you rub them with your fingertips. Friction and heat from rubbing help to redistribute wax in surrounding areas to cover the scratch. Not all scratches have the same depth, and this may not work on deeper scratches.

Wood

1.Avoid exposing wood to direct heat and sunlight

2.Maintain consistent humidity in the space to prevent excessive expansion and contraction of wooden pieces and joints.

3.Wipe up spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth.

4.Use coasters for drinks to prevent moisture from contacting surfaces.

5.Use trivets for hot pans and dishes to prevent damage to finishes and underlying wood.

6.Keep rough and sharp objects away from wood surfaces.

7.Apply protective pads to the undersides of items being displayed on wood surfaces, including those with rubber feet or bumpers.

8.Dust wood frequently with a soft, slightly damp lint-free cloth, and then wipe dry.

9.Avoid using abrasives, harsh chemicals and aerosol-powered cleaners on finishes and veneers.

10.Use waxes and oils as recommended with each product to maintain moisture and provide a protective coating. Apply these products only to the piece’s wood and veneer parts, always testing first on an inconspicuous spot.

11.Maintain oiled veneers by very lightly brushing wood areas in the direction of the grain with a fine Scotchbrite pad, which will open the wood’s pores and remove fingerprints and dirt. Follow with oil as recommended, wiping off excess with a soft, dry cotton cloth and smoothing in the direction of the grain.

12.Repair minor stains, scratches, and water rings by rubbing the surface lightly in the direction of the wood grain with No. 000 steel wool, and then applying a scratch-removing polish with a color and value that simulates the veneer.

13.If surface scratches are deep, consult a professional furniture refinisher.

Metal

1.Keep in mind that by the nature of the material, The timing of rust development will depend on the care and environment (humid or salty air speeds up this process). Do not allow water to accumulate on or around your furniture, especially around the metal feet.

2.Clean with soft damp cloth. Wipe dry. Do not use cleaners that contain any of the following: Alcohol, Ammonia, Bleach, Pumice, Abrasives

Plastic

1.Dust regularly with a soft, damp cloth.

2.Keep rough and sharp objects away from plastic surfaces to avoid scratches.

3.Wash plastic surfaces with a soft cloth dampened with a solution of mild detergent and warm water. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth.

4.Avoid abrasive solvents, scrubber sponges, and kitchen cleaners.

Cushion

1.The hardness of the seat becomes softer with using time. It is important to change the seating position from time to time. It is also recommended to always flap the seated parts and edges to restore their initial looking after longtime using.

2.We recommend gently fluffing and re-positioning the feather or down to return the cushions to their original soft and shape

Functional Frame Mechanisms

1.Avoid heavy weight and excessive pressure on the arms and backs.

2.Do not use solvents to clean the metal parts of the mechanism: a damp cloth is sufficient.

3.Lightly lubricate the springs, the hinges and all the joints using normal spray-on lubricants available on the market. If the mechanism produces squeaks when in operation.

Controller

1.Clean with soft damp cloth, and wipe dry.
